In an effort to increase the awareness and production knowledge of Kenya as a “magical destination” for Canadian travellers and travel agents, VoX developed a campaign with ACTA (Association of Canadian Travel Agents) to promote the Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) Jambo Specialist program.  The Jambo Specialist Program is part of ACTA’s CITC educational program. When travel agents complete the Jambo Program, they earn valuable ACTA/CITC accreditation training credits.

ACTA distributed emails to their national membership with Kenya product update newsletters as well as sent emails announcing the webinar series and promoted the program on their website. All webinar attendees received a follow-up communication from VoX on behalf of the KTB with further information on how to sign up for the Jambo Program.

VoX was responsible for all aspects of this initiative, including campaign strategy development, supplier procurement and partnership, negotiation, creative development and management. Distribution of press releases and newsletters which were sent nationally to the travel trade.

The campaign was an overwhelming success, with more than 210 additional agents completing the JAMBO Specialist Program. As a benefit to completing the program, Jambo agents are invited to KTB hosted-events, training seminars and are featured on the Kenya Tourism Board website for consumer leads.
